I wrote this short poem on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The kids were playing by themselves. Their cheerful sweet voices filled the room and my heart. Looking outside of the window, I saw the empty streets paved with ailing yet still beautiful autumn leaves. I saw cars passing by, in their determined pace and with their heavy body, mercilessly crushing the leaves, taking away the last drop of the juice of their life... What a sad thought!
