The ABC's of Autism

Posted by Kay Breaking the Mold of Autism Happy Hour
I didn't know what I was going to write today, and so I write for you a poem about autism. I hope you enjoy it. This is only my second attempt at poetry about autism. The other one was several years ago and is horrible.I guess this is called the ABC's of Autism. A is for all things unique. B is for finding beauty in the ugly. C is for caring for all others the most. D is for doing the best. E is for everything's a challenge - don't give up. F is for facing a funny fear, like the sound of a telephone. G is for going the distance - you know you can. H is for hope.

Facebook Expirience

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
I don't know if you all know this, but Facebook can be a wealth of information. You all probably do, but I've just learned the power of this site. I didn't know there was so much on this site. I truly didn't.    What did I do n there prior to now? I looked and uploaded photos. I kept up with friends. I posted status updates. I even played a few games. I found he games boring and silly - a waste of time - and so I quit those quickly.

Definition

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
Today, I'm going to write about something close to my heart. It's something I'm passionate about as well as very concerned about. I hope I haven't posted about this topic before. If I have, I'm sorry about repeating myself. However, this is a topic that is important enough to repeat.I don't think I have discussed this topic before though. What's the topic? It is the change of diagnosis criteria (the definition) of what is and isn't autism and Aspergers.

Literary Excitement

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
I have no idea what happened this week. My schedule just went haywire. It was nonstop errands or doctor’s appointments or cleaning, which meant writing got pushed aside (I hate when that happens) and things became delayed. However, here I am and next week I will keep on schedule.

Autism characters

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
This blog article will also be put on my literary blog - http://kaydrew.blogspot.com/. Not only is this blog about autism, but it’s about characters and story telling and television, which is what my blog is about. When I post it, I will direct people to Nuzcom.   The new show 'Touch' is still on my mind. Actually, it is the little boy, Jake I think his name was, who is on my mind. Supposedly, he's autistic. I believe it. His mannerisms and the innocence suggests  autism.

To be a Writer

Posted by Kay Breaking the Mold of Autism Life writer asperger's autism #41 Happy Hour
Writing is my passion. It drives me. It makes me want to earn more so that I can write more and write about a topic with ease. It occupies much of my brain and life.  I think I was born to write and be a story teller. When I was little, I made up stories with my Lion King toys and Barbies and my play foods. When I played dress up, I made up stories. I was a shaman, a shoe seller, a princess, an otter, a teacher.
