Literary Excitement

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
I have no idea what happened this week. My schedule just went haywire. It was nonstop errands or doctor’s appointments or cleaning, which meant writing got pushed aside (I hate when that happens) and things became delayed. However, here I am and next week I will keep on schedule.

What Does It Take To Crack The Top 1% of Income Earners?

Posted by Andrew S. 1 percenters top income earners occupy wall street Money 1%
Remember when people were occupying Wall Street, Portland, Oakland and many other cities? Did the 1 percenters win? According to the lack of protestors, either the ninety nine percenters won or the protestors are conjuring up some other strategy for their cause.Regardless, there are still people in the top 1% of income earners doing the same things to make money and keep it. Nationwide, entry into the top 1% requires a $380,000 annual income, according to census data. The average annual income of a 1 percenter is $1.5 million, according to the Tax Policy Center.

My Son: In his own words

Posted by Charles Politics Congress politics
Typically I'm the one in front of the computer writing my feelings and points of view on politics.  Sometimes my son sits and watches me, seemingly interested in what I'm writing.  Last night he finally asked if he could write down his feelings, in his own words; his own way.  Exicted, I eagerly said yes.  So, the debut of my son, Henry.   Truth and lies, from suits and ties Who's in disguise? Views demand more than eyes But who's eyes are open to compromise?

Would You Respect Mitt Romney More If He Embraced His Wealth?

Posted by Andrew S. Politics Mitt Romney financial engineering Bain Capital
There are numerous bones to potentially pick with Mitt Romney, including his religious beliefs, consistent flip flopping on issues and his fervent opposition to the 2010 Affordable Care Act. However, his inability to publicly embrace his immense wealth is one that really gets my goat.

Is anyone on Nuzcom.com?

Posted by Andrew S. Nuzcom Traffic nuzcom blog comments
I post several blog posts per week here at Nuzcom, and I submit them to a few websites for added exposure as well. However, I don’t see very many reads for most of my articles, which either means my posts are not very popular or there is next to no one visiting this website.Considering that the overwhelming majority of posts in the Nuzcom blog section are strictly advertisements from outside websites I doubt my lack of reads has to do with my writing. Taking a snapshot of the home blog page, only four of the twenty posts are non-spammy/advertisement posts.

What Kind of Person Urinates On a Dead Body?

Posted by Andrew S. Current Events urination video Taliban Marines
The recent online posting of a thirty-eight second video showing four United States Marines urinating on several dead Taliban fighters in Afghanistan has ignited a firestorm of disapproval and is the impetus behind my question. If you have not yet watched the video, I warn you it is very disturbing on many levels, but worth watching to see how despicable humans can become.

Sorry for the brierf hiatus.  Apparently, stuff happened that was borderline exciting for the campaign, so lets get into it! Herman Cain Ends His Presidential Bid So, if you get accused of sexual harrassment by three (or more) women, that's no reason to end a run for the White House. But if you've carried on a ten-plus year affair, you better think twice.

Autism characters

Posted by Kay Happy Hour Breaking the Mold of Autism
This blog article will also be put on my literary blog - http://kaydrew.blogspot.com/. Not only is this blog about autism, but it’s about characters and story telling and television, which is what my blog is about. When I post it, I will direct people to Nuzcom. The new show 'Touch' is still on my mind. Actually, it is the little boy, Jake I think his name was, who is on my mind. Supposedly, he's autistic. I believe it. His mannerisms and the innocence suggests  autism.

Mexican-American Kids Crossing the Border to Go to School

Posted by Andrew S. Education school districts transfronterizos Mexico crossing the border Mexican-American
There are thousands of kids each weekday making the long trek from Mexico, across the border and to their schools. They don’t hop over fences or swim across rivers, but instead stand in long lines at the border with their passports in hand, because these kids were born in the United States. However, due to various circumstances and reasons they live in Mexico. These kids are called “transfronterizos,” and they are spending up to three hours each school day morning traveling from home to a U.S. school.

To be a Writer

Posted by Kay Breaking the Mold of Autism Life writer asperger's autism #41 Happy Hour
Writing is my passion. It drives me. It makes me want to earn more so that I can write more and write about a topic with ease. It occupies much of my brain and life.  I think I was born to write and be a story teller. When I was little, I made up stories with my Lion King toys and Barbies and my play foods. When I played dress up, I made up stories. I was a shaman, a shoe seller, a princess, an otter, a teacher.
